Project
The study represents the consideration of a new elementary school to replace the current building constructed in 1960 and freeing up space in the existing upper grade schools by expanding the elementary school to include Pre-K – 5thgrades. The new school was constructed and now includes a PE gymnasium, cafeteria/assembly space, full kitchen and classroom space. Per the School Board’s directive, the elementary school remained open during construction, thus a construction phasing plan was included in the solution.
Additionally, a connectivity plan was created including:
- Revised parking
- New green space
- Relocated playgrounds
- Reorganized vehicular circulation for busses and parent traffic
