Project
The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Project transforms the University’s health sciences infrastructure into a modern, collaborative hub while honoring its historic roots. Centered on the complete renovation of 100-year-old Hamilton Hall, the project adds new classrooms, anatomy labs, including a morgue, and extensive site development. The design integrates modern facilities with Collegiate Gothic architecture, restoring original masonry and windows. Key features include 33 hybrid-ready classrooms, 10 advanced anatomy labs, a 224-seat learning center, and 48 collaborative study rooms. At its heart is the Forum, a four-story, 6,000sf atrium for events and gatherings, connecting to an exterior terrace and the new Health Sciences Quadrangle. The layout promotes connectivity via a ‘J’-shaped circulation path and open breezeways.
