Project
To meet the demand for qualified health care professionals, Ashland University expanded its healthcare curriculum and its College of Nursing facilities. After acquiring MedCentral Health System’s College of Nursing, the University constructed a new 46,383 SF academic and nursing building.
The new building is located at the University’s Balgreen Campus. The facility includes a variety of clinical practice labs, including the Fundamentals Simulation Lab; MedSurg Practice Lab; three Specialty Practice Labs (ICU/CCU/NICU, OB/Peds, and ACL); Advanced Health Practice Lab; Family Health Practice Lab; Health Foundations Practice Lab; and a Home/Community Care Lab. The facility also includes traditional classrooms, faculty / staff offices, student study and lounge areas, and student support spaces. The Collaborative teamed with Hasenstab Architects for this project.
