Project

The Collaborative, along with Ferris State University, created a 43,000sf addition and renovation to the existing Ewigleben Sports Complex; housing the Center for Athletic Performance for their NCAA Division II Intercollegiate athletic program.

The 23,000sf addition boasts a new cardio and strength training facility. Nutrition and hydration stations accompany the space for additional student amenities. Large team meeting rooms, conference rooms, athletic storage rooms and athletic department offices are in close proximity for a thriving athletic experience. In addition, the volleyball area was enlarged to double the existing seating capacity. The glassy, open addition allows the non-athlete views into many of these spaces from above; giving easy access throughout the facility.

Roughly 16,000sf of outdated locker rooms were upgraded for the football, track and field, softball, soccer, volleyball and lacrosse teams. Additionally, the 4,000sf Sports Medicine suite improved and expanded to better serve the needs of student athletes.

Client Testimonial

The TC Team did a fantastic job for us and as far as I’m concerned the project could not have turned out better for Bulldog Athletics, the student-athletes at Ferris State and the University. The CAP will be a sustaining facility for decades to come.
