Bond Program Phase 1 - Elementary School Addition & Renovation

Grosse Ile Township Schools engaged with The Collaborative to begin the Bond Program work at Parke Lane Elementary, which includes a 55,000 square foot renovation to the existing building and an 18,000 square foot addition to incorporate all elementary grade levels into one building. Within the project the following are what are included in this first phase of the bond:

• Classroom upgrades and active extended learning zones for each grade enhance the learning environment.
• Updated mechanical systems to improve the original 1960’s building’s performance.
• A renovated cafeteria to provide a multipurpose space for an auxiliary gym or community events.
• New outdoor areas and playgrounds.
• New traffic flow for drop off and pick up allow for a better utilization of the building’s site.
