Project
Alderson Broaddus University constructed nearly 400 beds at once. The Collaborative designed four new facilities, more than doubling the University’s total number of residence halls. Undertaking a large volume of construction at one time meant the University benefited from lower costs.
The new facilities include two apartment buildings, each 24,100 SF and 71 beds. Two suite-style buildings, 19,000 SF and 26,800 SF, house 96 and 143 beds, respectively.
As part of a broad recruitment and retention program, the University launched a series of new athletic teams in the last two years. As these programs expand, the campus responded with additional housing options.
