Project
Working with the world’s largest developer, owner and operator of manufacturer’s outlet centers, The Collaborative provided architectural services for a new 430,000 SF race-track style premium outlet shopping center. The design scheme is patterned after the regional character of the hill country architecture and contemporary details of the Houston area.
Located along I-290 for exposure, the 120-store outdoor shopping center includes a two-story food court building with natural stone and brick accents inside, complimenting the exterior materials palette. The 11,600 SF indoor food court includes 5 food tenants and accommodates 500 patrons.
The outdoor hallway spaces are highlighted with an open clerestory shading structure and accented with custom design signage brackets, decorative pier wall sconces, and festive lighting at the entry points. The hardscape and landscape design incorporates multiple shapes and colors of concrete panels with regional plantings of perennials and annuals for texture, accent and color.
The Collaborative has since designed a 125,000 SF Phase II expansion to the outlet center.
