Project

The Collaborative and nationally-known sports architecture firm HNTB were hired by the Lucas County Commissioners to design a new 10,000-seat Triple-A minor league ballpark. The new home of the world famous Toledo Mud Hens, the stadium is located in downtown Toledo, in the heart of the Historic Warehouse District. The ballpark was designed to become one of the major attractions in Toledo.

The Collaborative’s work involved streetscape improvements and interior design of the ballpark’s 93,530 SF clubhouse and suites, and the renovation of an adjacent 6-story brick building. Originally built in the late 1800’s, this structure now houses the team administrative offices and a gift shop. SSOE completed the interior design and store layout for the gift shop.
