Behavioral Health Residence

The Collaborative designed this 11,000 sf adolescent behavioral health residence for Children's Resource Center's Bowling Green campus. The facility includes 10 low acuity and 6 high acuity residential rooms, activity spaces, office and conference space, as well as an enclosed outdoor area for play. It is designed with the adolescent and caregiver experience at the forefront. Creating a safe, ligature-resistant space that fosters community, and allows youth to feel comfortable and at home during their stay. The layout is planned to allow for ideal sight lines to ensure caregivers can easily keep a watchful eye on residents. The exterior makes a modern play on "home-like" elements, while the interior brings playful curving walls and fun colors.
