Keith Russeau, AIA, LEED AP
Architect / Principal

Focused primarily on athletic and recreation projects, Keith Russeau’s experience includes an array of educational and community institutions across Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana and West Virginia. As part of his specialization, Keith has been involved in the design and specification numerous indoor and outdoor multi-sport synthetic turf applications. He possesses a vast knowledge of NFHS, OHSAA, and NCAA design requirements, and understands trends in stadium and facility design. An active member of NIRSA, Keith has been a featured speaker at several national and regional conventions.

Architect / Principal

Michael’s attention to detail creates projects which excel programmatically, with thoughtful spaces and intuitive plans. Independent juries from AIA Ohio and AIA Toledo have recognized eleven of Michael’s projects for design excellence since 2000.

An Architect and Principal of The Collaborative, Michael’s career focuses primarily on higher education. He has completed highly impactful projects on Ohio private institution campuses including: Ashland University, Baldwin Wallace University, Capital University, Defiance College, Lourdes University, Otterbein University, Ohio Wesleyan University, In addition, Michael has worked with Bowling Green State University, Clark State Community College, Kent State University, The Ohio State University, Terra Community College, the University of Akron, the University of Toledo, and Wright State University. Michael places a special emphasis on working with groups to explore options, and then build consensus amongst diverse constituents.

Michael joined The Collaborative in 1995 and steadily gained responsibility. Due to his excellent design and management skills, he became a Principal in 2006 and was named President of the Board in early 2015. Active in both the Ohio and Toledo chapters of The American Institute of Architects, Michael serves as Honor Award Committee Chair for AIA Toledo.

In 1992, Michael received his Bachelors of Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. He went on to earn his Masters of Architecture from the University of Michigan in 1995. He is a registered architect in the States of Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia.
