The second award that was honored by AIA Toledo this year was the KeyBank Discovery Theater for the Imagination Station right here in Toledo, OH.

A new entrance to Imagination Station, on Summit Street, breathes new life into the face of the building. The theater provides an immersive experience with an expansive 58-foot-wide screen and the ability to seat 300 people.

“The parti implemented was bold and beautiful,” remarked the Jury of the KeyBank Discovery Theater for the Imagination Station located in downtown Toledo, Ohio. The Jury went on to say, “The project elevated the architecture on a busy corridor…and…It took a brave solution to establish this program, and was done so brilliantly with respect to the context, accessibility and aesthetic.” The 8,200sf KeyBank Discovery Theater addition is a premium, large-format venue, attracting families, young adults, lifelong learners, school groups, travelers and businesses to downtown Toledo for education and entertainment.
