Project
After purchasing a vacant grocery store near the existing County courthouse, Williams County Commissioners turned to The Collaborative to transform the 22,800sf space into a variety of County offices.
With a range of agencies housed in one facility, circulation and security were key issues. The Sheriff’s Department and 911 Communications center require secure access, controlled spaces and adjacent parking. Other offices, like Jobs & Family Services, Veteran’s Services, Department of Aging and Board of Elections, need a public face for visitors.
A light monitor brings natural light into the building’s core common space. The design includes semi-transparent glass around the central commons to transmit light into the office areas.
