Kadee Anstadt joined The Collaborative this past fall as an Educational Specialist. As a retired Superintendent from Washington Local Schools, she focuses on contributing to design that promotes active learning and supports educators in utilizing flexible spaces to elevate project-based and individualized study. She believes increasing motivation and student agency benefits students of all abilities. Kadee advocated for policy change with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission to co-fund safer surfaces for playgrounds, assuring accessibility for all students.

During her leadership, Washington Local Schools opened two new elementary schools in 2022 and will open a new junior high in the fall of 2026. In a previous district, Kadee’s team worked to transform student learning and innovative teaching through the design of Ohio’s first STEM Intermediate School.

A proponent of student and teacher voices in the design of learning spaces, Kadee works with schools to ensure their environments prepare students for their professional future. Additionally, leading professional development for teachers ensures the support they need to transform instructional practices in a way that effectively utilizes flexible and innovative spaces.
